Not what I was hoping for.... May 20, 2010 ticked off I was expecting to have a bit better reception and more volume. I still have not gotton the pedometer to read though I've calibrated it several times. The stopwatch is even inaccurate!!!! The heartrate monitor has never taken a successful reading ONCE!! What a rip...very very cheap and shoddy machine.
Sound quality poor, heart rate monitor substandard February 28, 2010 M. DeMeo (Bloomingdale, NJ United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I purchased this for my husband because he wanted a heart rate monitor for his "spinning" class. Instead of purchasing a wrist monitor, I thought this would be a great alternative because he can listen to the MP3 player and FM radio as well. The FM radio does not tune in well, plus when he brought it to the gym, the volume wasn't loud enough to cover the music that they play on their speakers. You can hear it fine at home, and he believes it may be fine for someone who walks/bikes/runs by themselves. The heart rate montior is not good for spinning class either, because you have to press buttons, to get the heart rate and it just isn't practical to do that during a class. I returned this to Amazon, with no problem.
Doesn't work February 5, 2010 Live to Ride (Florence, KY United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Got it- doesn't work- can't turn it on per instruction book. Also it is so teenie-tiny the buttons are impossible to use. Many far better products that are more user friendly. Will be returning- not worth the price.
Doesn't really support WAV files February 5, 2010 Jon (Fayettville, NC USA) Although the specs say it supports WAV files, the device doesn't. When I copied a WAV file to it, the software converted it to a WMA file. If I bypassed the conversion, the device did not see the file and wouldn't play it.
Also, the Haier / ibiza website is not very well done. Customer support doesn't consist of much and the 'contact us' pages are mostly broken. I was surprised at how poor it is.
I did not get into any of the other features.
Everything good but... December 20, 2009 Corinne M. Baker This was the perfect mp3 player for my husband who exercises and runs quite a bit. The size is quite small. The programs that come along with it that track your mileage and heart-rate were a great addition as well. The only problem we had was that it stated it came with an arm band and we did not get one. Amazon was great and resolved the issue quickly.
Other than the missing armband it is a great mp3 player.
